The Elections Committee of SGA is responsible for planning, organizing, and completing all elections that go through Student Government. These elections include the traditional executive and board elections, Homecoming King and Queen Elections, and Special Elections for replacing members, in-house votes, and other unforeseen occurrences.
The 2008-2009 school year has brought some of the most substantial changes in our committee, involving a re-designed application that is interchangeable and suitable for all elections, a move to nearly completely electronic voting, and voter forum involving those running for Executive Officers in Student Government.
Each election brings a different issue to the table, but it’s a fun and difficult challenge every time. After all, without our committee, no one would be elected onto the board!
Of course nothing would be possible without the myriad of help from Tori Lord, the single most dedicated representative that helps on the committee.
