The Spirit Committee is in charge of organizing the Basketball Homecoming,
and it keeps the school and SGA informed of accomplishments of the NGCSU sports teams.
Kaseryn Ruppenthal (sophomore) is the Spirit Committee Chair and Jenna Huggins (sophomore)
serves on the committee.So far this year we have successfully organized and followed through
with a school wide grand opening of the new gym, or The Rec. We provided free water bottles
to the first few hundred people to stop by, as well as cake and lemonade for refreshments.
The grand opening was a hit and there has been a continuous turn-out since then.
Future goals for the Spirit Committee are to keep the school not only informed of upcoming sports
events, but to get them involved and to want to join in with plenty of NGCSU school spirit!
We take on events such as the Rec. Center grand opening and help out with other committees and
their events as well.
